Job Description:
The City Carrier Assistant (CCA) is an entry-level position
within the postal service. CCAs are responsible for the timely and
efficient delivery of mail and packages within an assigned urban
area. This role supports the mission of the postal service by
ensuring that mail is delivered accurately and on time,
contributing to the overall goal of providing excellent customer
service to the community. Deliver and collect mail on foot or by
vehicle under varying conditions. Sort mail and prepare it for
delivery. Load mail and packages into a delivery vehicle. Provide
friendly and effective customer service. Maintain accurate records
of deliveries and pickups. Handle undelivered mail in accordance
with company procedures. Attention to Detail Time Management
Customer Service Excellence Basic Data Entry map-reading skills
