Job Description:
Constellation, a leader in the energy sector, is seeking a
skilled Engineer for our Corporate Decommissioning team. This role
is crucial for ensuring the safe, environmentally responsible, and
cost-effective decommissioning of our energy and utility assets,
including power plants and other infrastructure. The successful
candidate will play a pivotal role in managing projects that span
the lifecycle from initial shutdown strategy to final site
remediation, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and
innovation in energy management solutions. Design and implement
decommissioning strategies for plants and assets, ensuring
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate
with multiple stakeholders including environmental agencies, local
communities, and internal teams to manage the decommissioning
process. Prepare detailed project plans, including scope, budget,
and timelines, and lead cross-functional teams to execute these
plans. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
to address potential environmental and safety challenges. Document
and report on the progress of decommissioning projects, ensuring
all data and findings are accurate and transparent. Stay abreast of
technological and regulatory changes that could impact
decommissioning activities and adjust plans accordingly. Strong
knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards in the
energy sector. Experience with project management tools and
methodologies, especially in the areas of construction or
decommissioning. Proficiency in technical report writing and
project documentation. Strong negotiation and communication skills
to effectively manage stakeholder relationships. Ability to analyze
complex data and make informed decisions based on technical and
financial considerations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
preferred. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar
certification advantageous.
