• You are a full stack engineer who enjoys working on projects and being an individual contributor

  • Work with product owners to understand desired initiatives and implement application capabilities
  • Contribute to the web platform, codebase, and developer experience that supports capitaloneshopping.com and other internal initiatives
  • Own delivery of features and system enhancements from technical design through production deployment and support to ensure a fast and reliable experience for our customers
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity.Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering
    • At least 2 years of experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad)
    • At least 1 year of experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
    • At least 1 year of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) Preferred Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript
      • 2+ years of experience with deploying clustered web services
      • Experience developing and maintaining microservices on AWS architecture
