And experience greater heights of professional success & personal satisfaction.THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:The Senior Manager of Promotion Optimization will oversee the implementation of the software, process, procedure and building a core competency while ensuring successful integration and acceptance of Promotion Advisor promotion optimization tool within the organization. The candidate is responsible for providing expertise on the promotions analytical approach, developing/updating learnings, and guidelines on promo effectiveness and from time to time maybe asked to use expertise to initiate promotion test plans based on effectiveness learnings and offer expertise as an advisor to the user group. The role will assist in enabling dynamic pricing initiatives that result in more effective and profitable promotions. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Promotional Tool Implementation During FY 2022:

  • Drives development and ensures successful implementation and on going support of Promotion Optimization effectiveness tool
  • Responsible for driving change management, training and adoption of new tool and processes
  • Ensures strong on-going communication on progress and challenges during the development phase and as capabilities and categories are deployedPromotional Strategy & Planning:
    • Provides Planning & Optimization expertise on the promotions analytical approach, guidelines and best practices and innovates the approach as business needs and capabilities evolve
    • Drive collaboration and partners with Merchandising & Strategy teams to develop plans that align with sales and profit goals and delivers end-to-end financial results. Recommends actions based on historical performance and what if scenario results. Partner to develop short and medium range plans while ensuring alignment to annual or long range plans
    • Responsible for promotional optimization software application & process inclusive of future improvements and efficiencies while engaging all business leaders and partners in the vision
    • Working with key partners creates promotional test plans based on promo effectiveness analysis and guidelines; monitors performance and refines process based on learnings
    • Deliver promotional analytical insights at an enterprise level, risks and opportunities with specific actions to take to key stakeholders on an on-going basis ensuring full visibility to assumptions, modeling and scenarios
    • Consistently reviews competitive landscape and category trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations and shares with organizatioOperations:
      • Trains and is SME for the merchandising team and partners on promotional guidelines and use of the Promotion Advisor system
      • Creates a strong continuous improvement environment that consistently improves on performance and communication for on-going success and opportunitiesADDITIONAL CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS:

        • Position is not remote THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
          • Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing, MBA a plus
          • 8+ years of retail merchandising experience, with min 3 years time spent managing promotion management /promotion optimization team in corporate environment with a deep understanding of promotion optimization discipline/tool and willingness to engage hands on
          • Deep understanding of promotional concepts (baseline & incremental sales & margin measurement, basket / traffic metrics, vendor funding), price optimization/ analytical tools and methodologies
          • Experience leading large projects; consulting experience a plus
          • Demonstrated ability to create and execute to strategic plans and priorities
          • A Leader and Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills with the willingness to learn and drive change in a fast paced retail environment
          • Minimal travel for conferences and occasional store visitsDESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
            • Deep understanding of Promotion Optimization/Promotion Management discipline
            • Experience managing pricing zones and offer personalization
            • Experience as Pricing analyst or proven proficiency in that role
            • Ability to synthesizes complex or diverse information and collect appropriate primary data when necessary while using intuition and experience to draw implications
            • Ability to use data and other facts to objectively influence and persuade
            • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to small and larger audiences
