Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting - Night shifts, 19:00-07:30 - 13-week contract assignment - Direct patient care and coordination in a fast-paced emergency environment - Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the Emergency Department - Educates patients and families and supervises nursing personnel as necessary - Responsible for accurate and timely communication with physicians about clinical changes - Follows EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting protocols - Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality - First time travelers will be considered for this role - Scrubs or dress code will be specified prior to assignment - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers /n /n Requirements/n - Active and current state RN license - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required - Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire - Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting; Emergency Room experience preferred - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required, can be completed online - Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and BSN preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-598415.
