We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician
Assistant for a 91-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan,
starting Jan 1, 2026. This opportunity features 10-hour midlevel
shifts from 11 AM to 9 PM, providing autonomous patient care with
on-site physician support in a dynamic emergency department
environment. Job Details - Location: Michigan - Facility Type:
Emergency Department - Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 - LOA: 91 days -
Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant -
Schedule: 11 AM – 9 PM, daily Responsibilities and Duties - Provide
autonomous emergency care to patients, with physician available for
consultation - Manage an average patient volume of 20 per day in an
emergency department - Participate in a team with a nurse
practitioner and physician assistants - Respond to house codes as
required - Coordinate with hospitalists or ED physicians for
admission orders - Handle patient triage, evaluation, diagnosis,
and treatment across a range of emergency cases - Facilitate
referrals and transfers as necessary, in line with department
protocols - Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and
workflow - Collaborate with consulting specialties, including
orthopedics, OB, general surgery, neurology, and urology -
Interpret EKGs within department scope or in consultation with
cardiology/ED physicians - Oversee care for a broad patient
demographic, including patients over 20 weeks gestation with
abdominal complaints - Supervise or monitor paramedic and ambulance
radio communications as needed Additional Information - Michigan
license required at time of name clear (IMLC not accepted) - Board
certification in Emergency Medicine required - Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
certifications required - Clean background essential for quick
credentialing - DEA license required (verbal confirmation at name
clear) - Candidate must be local to Michigan - Experience with
