CT Tech Location: Rockford, IL Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,720 to $2,880 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $68.00 - 72.00/Hourly. Summary: We are looking to employ a skilled CT technologist to operate our CT scanning equipment and capture diagnostic images that are of good technical quality. The CT Technologist’s responsibilities include taking inventory of radiologic supplies, ensuring that the radiologic equipment is in good working order, and adhering to established guidelines on hygiene and infection control. Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic CT procedures. If assigned radiographer job duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams. Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist. Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures. Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary. Practices aseptic technique as necessary, Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access. Initiates basic life support action when necessary. Provides patient education. Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area. Provides practical instruction for students and partners. Requirements Requirements: Graduate of an accredited radiography program, 2 years of CT experience required, Approved CPR or BLS certification required, ARRT (CT) Certification, ARRT (R) Certification.
