Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Board- CertifiedCardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Lansing, MI.This is a hospital-based position providing 24-hour call coverage with apreference for weekend coverage. Schedule & CallDetails Shift Type: 24-Hour Call Preferred Schedule: Friday evening through Monday morning Additional Coverage: 1 week of call per month Call Ratio: Open to discussion Average Volume: Approximately 1 case per weekend ClinicalResponsibilities Provide comprehensiveadult cardiothoracic surgical coverage, including: Adult Cardiac Surgery General Thoracic Surgery Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Heart Valve Repair and Replacement Tube Thoracostomy Pericardial Window Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy) Thoracotomy Decortication Mediastinal Surgery The physician willprovide consults, surgical management, and inpatient care as required duringcall coverage. Requirements Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Active Michigan Medical License ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required Experience in adult cardiac and thoracic procedures Lansing, MI isMichigan’s capital city, offering a mix of urban amenities and Midwesterncharm.
