TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in South Bend, Indiana, 46601! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years
of ICU experience required License: Valid state nursing license
required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred
Must-Have: Must pass EKG test prior to first shift Will float to
other areas as needed based on hospital requirements Requires every
other weekend availability Description: This position is for an ICU
nurse in a mixed unit. The unit serves both medical and surgical
ICU patients. Typical patient population includes trauma patients
and post open heart surgical patients. Staffing ratios are
typically 1 nurse to 2 patients. Candidates must have experience in
handling patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
Nurses should be able to monitor and manage cardiac rhythms and
obtain 12 lead EKGs. Experience with ventilated patients and
advanced IV techniques is required. Knowledge of critical care
protocols and procedures is essential. Robust interdisciplinary
support is available in the unit. Nurses will work closely with
various specialties, including respiratory and pharmacy teams. All
certifications must be obtained prior to starting the position.
Only travelers residing more than 50 miles from the facility will
be accepted. Candidates will be required to complete online modules
before starting. Professional conduct is critically important; any
issues may lead to contract termination. This role may include
duties such as blood product administration and central line
