Job Description Job Description Trusts and Estates Senior Attorney Northbrook, IL - Hybrid Settings - Full-Time About the job Trusts and Estates Senior Attorney We are seeking a trusts and estates attorney to join its rapidly growing and highly collaborative law firm. The ideal candidate will have significant experience (7 years) utilizing complex estate planning techniques handling sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer matters including gift, estate, income tax, GST, charitable, and family business succession planning. Experience preparing estate and gift tax returns and the ability to manage complex trust administration and probate matters from beginning to end with paralegal support is required. Portable business is a plus for this partner-track position. Education and Experience: • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school • Admitted to practice law in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission • 7 years of experience as a trusts and estates attorney with the experience outlined above Key Attributes: • Excellent analytical and writing skills • Excellent technological and organizational skills • Superior oral and written communication skills • Excellent proofreading skills • Ability to produce accurate work product with a high attention to detail • Self-starter who is comfortable simultaneously managing multiple tasks • Excellent to superb time management skills and ability to adjust to changing project priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment • The ability to function both independently and within a collaborative environment Total compensation for this position at the time of the posting is $150,000-$200,000 annually based upon a full-time work schedule. Compensation will be subject to a number of factors, including, without limitation, qualifications, experience, skill set, and performance. Benefits programs, including health insurance, paid time off, and 401k/profit sharing plan participation.
