THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Ulta Beauty Mobility team is looking for an experienced iOS Application Developer who has strong development experience, passion for what they build, and enjoys working with a motivated and engaging team. This candidate must ensure successful delivery of our iOS application projects and operate in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. The position will work closely with business teams to understand and implement strategic mobility initiatives. Candidate should take ownership of challenge and be able to suggest innovative solutions and ideas to leverage iOS technology to provide market differentiation and enhanced user experiences.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THIS BY:

• Native Apps Development - Develop scalable and reliable native apps using Apple platforms. Must be able to integrate native apps end solutions with multiple data sources, including GraphQL and custom APIs. Expert level knowledge of Swift and Objective-C programming languages. Provides local or team-based standards for programming tools and techniques, including security guidelines, and the selection of appropriate development methods. Takes technical responsibility for all stages and/or iterations in a software development project, providing method specific technical advice and guidance to project stakeholders.
  • Application Support - Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to mobile native applications. Assists with specified procedures.
    • Development Testing - Performs the execution of given test scripts. Records results and reports issues. Develops an understanding of the role of testing within system development, as a tool for design improvement as well as a validation process.
    • Release Deployment - Uses the tools and techniques for specific areas of release and deployment activities. Administers the recording of activities, logging of results and documents technical activity undertaken.
    • Requirements Definition & Management - Undertakes business requirements as directed, maintaining traceability back to source. Reviews operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
      • Systems Integration - Assists in the software builds from software source code. Performs tests as defined in an integration test specification, records the details of any failures, and carries out fault diagnosis relating to simple failures, reporting the results of the diagnosis in a clear and concise manner.
        ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
        
        • Responsible for the development lifecycle of enterprise level iOS applications
        • Evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies for the options best fitting business needs.
        • Work closely with key business partners during entire lifecycle of the project
        • Provide technical support & troubleshooting for production issues#LI-CS1
          
          ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
          
          • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or applicable work experience
          • 4+ years of iOS application development experience
          • Experience creating and publishing apps at scale, retailer app experience is a plus
          • Experience in Push Notification Services, Foundation Framework, Memory Management, and detailed knowledge of iOS API capabilities.
          • Experience with iOS tool ecosystem (e.g. Xcode) for development, testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking
          • Experience reviewing and implementing third party APIs and SDKs
          • Experience working JSON and familiarity with REST methodologies
          • Passion for learning new technologies and eagerness to collaborate with other creative minds
          • Proactive and able to catch issues before failures
          • Possess a strong work ethic; takes pride in producing a quality product
          • Work with production support and project consultants in an onshore / offshore model
            • Minimal travel required (training/conferences)
              The pay range for this position is $98,000 - $166,300 annual base salary with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on position, experience level and geographic location.
