THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Supply Chain Initiatives Manager will be the primary lead to identify, explore, and implement new technologies and capabilities in both new and existing Distribution Centers. This is a cross-functional role that will leverage internal support and industrial engineer teams while also building relationships with outside vendors and/or contractors.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

Leading and managing the scoping, selection, planning, and execution of Distribution Center Capital funded projects. Compiling comparative models for new technology that focus on the Network goals and recommendations to achieve those goals. Managing projects that affect multiple Distribution Centers while gaining alignment from HQ and field resources and creating all necessary project management documentation. Including: Identifing solutions Defining project scope, goals/deliverables and tasks and resource requirements Creating and executing project and communication plans Launching multiple concurrent Capital projects on various time-lines within approved budget. Leading and gather business requirements from cross-functional teams, while documenting results into BRD’s and maintaining project schedule. Communicating to a diverse audience while tailoring the message for proper alignment and consistency. Designing the necessary tools to track progress and improvements which align to the financial benefit analysis. Developing functional expertise within Operations to interact in a variety of roles and situations while offering timely feedback and solutions. Preparing ROI models and business cases for all proposed solutions while considering financial impacts to the network. Communicating and administer project updates and education sessions to share network enhancements across the organization. Influencing various levels of the organization by leveraging short and long term benefits supported by data analytics. Assisting as needed in various other Supply Chain projects such as network optimization, process development and best practices, Quality Assurance programs, etc.

THE ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS:

8-10 years supply chain experience required, Industrial Engineering experience with a large retailer preferred. Bachelor degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Broad working knowledge of warehouse processes and operations, as well as DC automation and technologies (SAP and/or Manhattan a plus). Experience leading implementation of conveyors, sortation systems, ASRS, Robotics, light directed technology, carousels, RF directed applications, workstation design, work aids and tools, etc. with a proven track record. Strong project management and analytical skills required. Ability to gather and analyze data and make recommendations to key Stakeholders. Ability to create presentations around complex solutions that can be used by various levels of Leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience managing Capital budget and project scoping. Ability to create ROI’s based on key performance indicators. Experience managing external vendor relationships and analyzing SOW’s. Ability to define and solution areas of opportunity and see to completion with minimal supervision. Skilled in change management. Intermediate MS Office skills required. Intermediate SharePoint skills required. Intermediate MS Project skills preferred. Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD is preferred. Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
