ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFirst Shift:10:00 AM - 6:30 PM(Peak Schedule Varies)Assist the Shipping Supervisor and Manager with the following:Lead a shipping packaging line for small parcelsAct as a line lead between staff and supervisorsLead 5-10 employees during non-peak times and up to 25-50 temporary employees during peak timesTrain new employees and evaluate current employees to ensure training is up to date with changing requirementsCoordinate shared workload with other line leaders.At peak times we operate a 24/7 shipping operation; the proper candidate must be willing to lead anyone of the shifts to provide this coverageAssign work to employeesCommunicate hours and days off schedule with team membersPerform all duties of Shipping personnelEvaluate staff needs for peak and slow times of the yearDiagnose problems and know who to contact for supportPerform additional duties as requiredRequirements:Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDependability is a MUSTHighly organized and cleanAbility to manage personnel conflicts - Handle common conflicts and disputes with easeIdentify and solve problemsProven track record of being capable of coordinating several tasks simultaneously and with minimal supervision - requiredEducation and ExperienceMinimum of one years' experience in a small parcel shipping departmentOne or more years in a supervisory or line lead positionDegree or High School Diploma/GED with above experience levelSpeak and read English - Bi-Lingual a plusPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and walkingMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds at timesAbility to work a 10-to-12-hour shiftFirst Shift:10:00 AM - 6:30 PM(Peak Schedule Varies)
