Description:Our client in the food industry looking for a QC Technician who will be cross-trained in both the line technician and raw materials testing. Responsibilities include the following:* The pre-ops (checking after equipment is cleaned), doing a start up and making sure it's the correct materials coding, etc.* Every hour checking package weight, packaging seal integrity, GMP, Every other hour checking metal detectors and any other start ups or pre-ops.* Documentation review -- after raw materials are sampled, they will do comparisons and perform visual checks, documentation reviews, comparing specs, etc. (This will be a majority of the job responsibilities).* Will approve documents or put out complaints that need to Be changed.* Evaluating all raw materials per specifications.* When product sample is a non-conforming material (doesn't meet specifications), will record in Excel spreadsheet and inventory management system on site (AS 400).* Also would be printing labels, data entry, potentially helping out with lab testing.* Assisting with some of the sample tests in the lab (granulation)Skills:Quality control, GMP, Quality assurance, PCQI, Hazmat, Production line, Metal detecting, Documentation review, Visual inspectionAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVES:-Quality control experience in a GMP environment OR Bachelor's Degree in the sciences with 0-2 years experience-Basic computer skillsNICE TO HAVE:-Candidates with food industry experience-PCQI certification -Hazmat certification -Auditing/documentation experienceExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
