POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Operations, Sr. Analyst is responsible for having a deep understanding of all processes for operational departments across our distribution network and facilitating the use of data and analytics to drive understanding and decision making. This role will provide distribution operational data and reporting for strategic initiatives across multiple functional areas for ULTA. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and enterprise leaders (Managers, Directors, and VPs) to optimize product flow across our distribution centers by leveraging data and analytics to drive decision making and influence outcomes. This role will ensure Process Owners have the data & reporting needed to support various initiatives such as process improvement, future distribution design/processes and project management. This role will manage several cross functional relationships within ULTA such as Inventory, Merchandising, Supplier Operations, Information Technology, Business Intelligence & Finance, as well as additional teams from Supply Chain to ensure that the distribution operations are effectively functioning throughout the network.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide data analytics to help support projects and initiatives across various Supply Chain Operations areas (Inbound, Outbound, QA, etc).
  • Partner strategically with enterprise leaders (Managers, Directors, VPs) to define and plan various business applications such as: enterprise strategic initiatives, product flow optimization, best practice process improvement, process automation, and business continuation
  • Develop cost analysis, design considerations, data analytics and reporting to support business decisions and projects
  • Work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to distribution operations or product flow
  • Provides significant leadership and direction for the portfolio of projects within the strategic initiatives the individual is assigned
  • Lead and identify common issues, constraints and risks across portfolio projects through the use of data analytics and business acumen
  • Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) support for all new IT logistics initiatives
  • Support enterprise leaders through multiple projects across multiple sites, assign work, monitor workload, and appraise performances
  • Manage, measure, monitor, and mitigate risks to various projects, budgets, and timelines
  • Collect and report metrics to monitor and optimize project performance by leading/contributing to weekly distribution leadership meetings
  • Mentor, teach & develop enterprise leaders to improve their understanding and skill, and ensure they are familiar with policies, business processes, and work flow
    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan and manage project execution, ensuring that development projects are delivered on time, on budget, and consistent with specifications
    • Manage current and future state operations to ensure product flows into and out of our distribution network as fast as possible with the highest level of quality
    • Lead/be liaison for Supply Chain Operations in various meetings including but not limited to: report development, holiday planning and DC change request meetings
    • Drive ASN receipt percentages to be in line with company goals and objectives both in the short term and the long term
    • Provide data analytics to support decisions related to future DC design and capabilities REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

      • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
      • 2-5 years relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of work and education experience (Preferably related to distribution)
      • Data analytics experience with SQL, Visual Basic, Tableau and PowerBI
      • Strong working knowledge in SAP, Manhattan, Word, Excel, Access, and Power-Point
      • Proven success in leading people, process improvement, and multiple projects/multiple presentation deadlines at one time
      • Proven ability to analyze complex sets of data to draw conclusions, provide recommendations and identify opportunities
      • Ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders
      • Ability to speak, present, work, and influence decisions to large and diverse audiences at various levels
      • Experience working with multi-location teams including leading managers of people
      • Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully develop and execute against departmental goals with minimal guidance
      • Good understanding of warehousing and physical distribution concepts
      • Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs
      • Ability to travel as required
        WORKING CONDITIONS:

        • Typical office environment - 85%
        • Typical DC work environment - 15%
        • Travel 15%/year
        • Ability to walk and stand while observing for an extended period
