Logistics Network Designer- OTM
In this role, you will leverage our client's network and Oracle's Transportation Management (OTM) Software to create best-in-class network optimization and utilization. This position will play an integral role for our client to deliver consistent, reliable service by building efficient, cost-effective routes leveraging our client's consolidation network. Through data analysis, modeling, collaboration with internal stakeholders and industry research you will design an optimal transportation network. The ideal candidate must have a passion for designing innovative solutions that continually improve the experiences of our clients, carrier partners, and our internal teams. Experience using OTM's Network Optimization and Logistics Network Modeler is required. This person will initially be part of the OTM implementation project team to support user acceptance testing and training; eventually transitioning into a lead operational role.

Responsibilities

• Understand routing methodologies and balance them against real-world inputs to build efficient routes to optimize cost and service.
• Perform analysis to optimize routes based on the company's facility footprint and carrier mode capacity limits.
• Configure route options within Oracle Transportation Management System (OTM) to maximize network flow and reduce cost.
• Dynamically re-rack route plans as operational constraints are introduced (facility capacity, equipment issues, seasonal fluctuations, new origins added).
• Continuously work with cross-functional teams to update route configurations based on service level requirements, carrier network and facilities footprint changes.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate issues and risks; work with sales to align pricing models.
• Establish and present to leadership daily/weekly/monthly KPIs for all key areas of Network Utilization.
• Understand how various routing decisions affect Key Performance Indicators.
• Make technology improvement recommendations.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts.
• Represent our client's brand and values.
• Other duties as assigned.
  Experience
  
  • Bachelors or better in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field or a minimum.
  • 3-4 years' experience in a logistics environment within operations.
  • Expertise working with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), min 2-3 years' experience.
  • Certifications in data science or data analytics a plus.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing / distribution warehouse environment a plus.
  • MS Excel / SharePoint knowledge required.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Strong coordination and ability to work within a cross-functional team environment: ability to effectively coach and influence others without direct authority.
  • Ability to prioritize activities and tasks.
  • Preferred skills and knowledge.
  • Presentation skills are a plus.
