We are a global company focused on commercializing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the trucking and logistics sector.POSITION OVERVIEWHyzon Motors is searching for an exceptional Electrical Engineer - Electronic Component Hardware Specialist. The Electrical Engineer - Electronic Component Hardware Specialist will define, develop and validate electronic components used in fuel cell electric vehicles. The Electrical Engineer - Electronic Component Hardware Specialist will collaborate with global Fuel Cell, EV Powertrain, Battery, Controls & SW teams they will be central to the development of robust, high quality electrical systems.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Specify electrical / electronic component requirements, lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers* Collaborate with system design teams, controls and software teams to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions* Support development and execution of system and component level validation test plans* Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities* Perform sub-system DFMEA analysis* Work with other team members to develop/refine Hyzon engineering standards, best-practices and processes* Correlate test data to vehicle level requirements to ensure vehicle electrical systems meet targets and acceptance criteria at the vehicle level* Lead, document and track electrical component issue resolution efforts discovered during build and validation activities* Provide and manage component timing plans and change controlQUALIFICATIONS:* BS Engineering Electrical and/or Computer* 3-5 years of experience in Product Development or related activity* High level of competence in writing and comprehending hardware requirements* Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN(SAE J1939), LIN, Ethernet) and electrical architectures* Knowledge of mechatronics, microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming* High level understanding of hardware and software design and failure modes in electronic modules* Strong communication and organizational skills* Problem-solving skills involving complex systems* Proficient in MS Office* Experience with electric vehicles and fuel cells preferred* Experience developing on-highway with Automotive or Commercial Vehicle products preferred* Knowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO26262) standards preferred* Program Management skills preferred* Experience using Catia V5/V6 or similar tools preferred* Experience with electrical and EMC testing preferredHyzon Motors Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
