Position: Material EstimatorReport To: Full Time Position Supervisor Supply Chain ManagerThe Material Estimator will review material needs for quote opportunities. This position is responsible for obtaining competitive price quotations for various projects and creating a completecosted bill of materials, which will establish the standard material cost used in a formal price quotation.Responsibilities and Duties--- Utilize quoting software to obtain and review vendor pricing information.--- Understand the project requirements--- Determine key variables of cost and other estimates as it relates to component information such as price, availability, lead time, life cycle status, excess material and minimum order quantities.--- Obtain and review quotes from suppliers--- Perform risk analysis--- Select winning bids and complete material estimates, thereby establishing standards--- Communicate issues and special condition of pricing--- Build working relationships with key suppliers--- Work with Engineering and Buyers to drive accuracy and competitivenessQualifications--- High school degree--- Good organization, communication skills--- Proficiency in Excel and math skill--- Attention to detail and multitaskingPosition Summary and ResponsibilitiesPosition Qualifications

Compensation details: 19-22 Hourly Wage
