Job Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated CleanPack Chemist CDL who is skilled in the management and handling of chemical packaging and disposal, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This role requires a unique combination of chemical knowledge, hands-on packaging skills, and a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate company vehicles safely. As part of our mission, you will contribute to Clean Harbors' commitment to safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility by efficiently managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal while complying with both governmental regulations and company policies. Operate and maintain vehicles and environmental equipment in accordance with DOT & HAZMAT regulations. Package, label, and transport hazardous chemical waste while maintaining thorough compliance documentation. Ensure all activities are conducted within health, safety, and environmental regulations. Participate in chemical emergency response spills as needed. Coordinate with environmental team members to propose improvements for waste disposal processes. Proficient in using technology for waste management and documentation. Strong understanding of chemical properties and hazardous materials regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification preferred.
